Is the thermal spa included in the room price?
Yes. All hotel guests have free daily access to all 4 thermal pools (36–44°C), the cold plunge pool and 5 saunas — no surcharge, no reservation, no time slot.
When can I check in?
For direct bookings from 2:00 PM — one hour earlier than via booking portals. Check-out until 10:30 AM.
Can I bring children?
Yes. We offer family rooms with two separate bedrooms (up to 5 people + baby). Children are welcome in the thermal area. The nude sauna zone is not accessible to children under 16.
Can I dine in the restaurant without staying at the hotel?
Yes. Restaurant 51° is open to everyone. In high season we recommend a reservation — online or by phone.
Where do I park?
The Rathaus car park (2 min walk) is available to hotel guests at CHF 9.–/night — a special rate exclusively for our hotel guests.
How do I get to Leukerbad by public transport?
Train to Leuk station, then Postbus line 471 stops right at our door (Leukerbad Sportarena, 3 min walk). For direct bookings of 2+ nights in summer (May 1 – Oct 31): the Wallis Mobility Ticket is a gift — free 2nd class train travel from anywhere in Switzerland.
Do I need to book a slot for the thermal spa?
For hotel guests: no — no time slot, no limit. External day guests book a 3-hour slot (last entry 6:30 PM) online or at the reception.
What is the tourist tax?
CHF 6.– per person per night (from age 16). Includes the Leukerbad Guest Card with free local public transport and various discounts.
Is half board worth it?
4-course menu from CHF 47.–/person, a different menu every evening. Only bookable on direct bookings. Head chef Asbjörn Hinrichs cooks fresh with local alpine produce — plant-based cuisine as the main axis, meat and fish as optional side.
Are dogs allowed?
Small dogs on request — please call ahead. Dogs are not permitted in the restaurant, spa or breakfast room.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, free and available throughout the hotel and all spa areas.
How do I cancel?
For direct bookings on the Flex rate: free cancellation up to 7 days before arrival. Non-refundable rates: no refund. Details visible before booking.
